Roy is a senior consultant with Almary Green and has been in the Financial Services industry since 1991. He has been an independent adviser for around 10 years providing advice on a wide range of issues to businesses and individuals, and is a pension transfer specialist.

He was one of the very first advisers in the UK to achieve Chartered Financial Planner status; this prestigious award is the highest attainable within the financial services industry.

Roy obtained Resolution accreditation from the Law Society in October 2007 having previously been a pensions and divorce specialist at a national firm of Financial Accountants.

Roy is now also an affiliate member of the Society of Trusts and Estate Practitioners (STEP).

Alison joined Almary Green as an adviser in June 2003 and has been in Financial Services since 1984 in various guises.  Alison has a portfolio of clients from both the private and corporate sectors, advising on a wide range of protection, pension and investment needs. 

In a male dominated profession she is finding that it is not just female investors who prefer to consult a female adviser and believes that it’s clear that a woman’s inherent caring qualities makes her ideally suited to act as a confidante and counsellor. Alison holds the Diploma in Financial Planning, issued by the Chartered Insurance Institute.

Outside of work Alison enjoys painting and decorating much to her husband’s delight.  For exercise she forces herself to go swimming at least once a week.  She has no children other than four legged furry ones and enjoys reading any novel that involves murder, mystery and pathology.

Russell joined Almary Green in 2008.  He specialises in providing advice to clients at or post retirement. His particular areas of expertise lie in the provision of investment planning solutions, inheritance tax mitigation, trust work and long term care funding advice.

The majority of his clients are derived from large corporate connections and introductions from a number of solicitors with whom Russell has worked alongside for many years. 

 

He is married with two young children and is a parent Governor at his children's primary school.

Hayley joined Almary Green in 2009 and has been an independent financial adviser since 2004.  She has worked in various guises in the financial services industry since graduating from the University of East Anglia with a 1st class honours degree in 1999.

Hayley is a Chartered Financial Planner and a Fellow of the Personal Finance Society, the highest possible level of qualification for a financial adviser.  She has won several awards for her examination achievements. She holds specialist qualifications in the areas of care fees planning and pensions and retirement advice.

She is a member of the Society for Later Life Advisers, having achieved the Later Life Accreditation in 2011, which means she demonstrated not only the technical expertise required to advise on later life aspects such as post retirement finances and care fees planning, but also the necessary empathy and understanding required when advising those in later life.

 

She is also now an Affiliate member of the Society for Trust and Estate Practitioners, (STEP) having achieved in 2011 a STEP Excellence Award for her top mark in the country in the STEP Certificate for Financial Services (Trusts and Estate Planning).

Hayley reached the pinnacle of her achievements so far in November 2012 by winning the prestigious Chartered Financial Planner of the Year award.

In her spare time Hayley enjoys travelling, walking and tennis and is great lover of music and literature.

Jane joined Almary Green in 2009.  She has been an independent financial adviser since 2001.  Before that she spent 17 years working for two large fund management companies.  Jane specialises in advice for individuals and covers a wide range of areas including retirement and investment planning, protection, dealing with pensions in the event of divorce, funding for long term care and general financial planning.

Jane is a Chartered Financial Planner and holds the Advanced Financial Planning Certificate in a range of subjects including pensions, taxation and trusts, investment planning, long term care and holistic financial planning.  She also has a degree in economics. 

When she is not working she enjoys cycle touring and walking.

Mark has been advising clients in the Norwich area for over twenty years and brings a wide range of skills and experience to the advisory team. 

A Chartered Accountant who gained his FCA with Norwich Accountants,  Larking Gowen, Mark is also a highly qualified Financial Planner – he holds the prestigious DipPFS qualification.  Tax planning – particularly Inheritance Tax – is a particular passion, but Mark advises his clients on all aspects of their financial well-being, including investments and retirement planning.

Married with three children, Mark is a keen sportsman.  He is a member of Norwich Road Runners and has run several marathons, including Berlin in 2008 and London in 2009, raising over £5,000 for Macmillan Cancer Support.

Jerry joined Almary Green in June 2012. His financial services experience reaches back as far as 1985 when he started work at the Halifax Building Society in Norwich. He then moved on to work as a Broker Consultant for insurance companies before leaping into the world of independent financial advice with a local firm in 2000. During his time there he was an Independent Financial Adviser providing advice to personal as well as corporate clients, however, his supervisory skills and all-round knowledge, allied with an eye for detail, led to his appointment as their Compliance Officer in 2009.

Jerry now fulfils the role of Compliance Officer here at Almary Green and is working with the rest of the team to ensure that we are well positioned to meet the industry challenges that lay ahead.

He holds the Chartered Insurance Institute’s Diploma in Financial Planning, including the advanced examinations in pensions and retirement planning.

Jerry is married with two daughters, and spends a disproportionate amount of his spare time helping to run highly successful local football club, Blofield United, in his role as Chairman.

Louisa has had a varied administration career including a 12 year period in the Royal Navy that saw her undertake a variety of junior management roles both at sea and ashore.  She  joined Almary Green in August 2008 originally as Personal Assistant to Carl and is currently studying for a qualification in Human Resources. 

She is married with a young son.
